The Full Body Massage

What Is A Full Body Massage?

When some people think of a full body massage, they may mistakenly think of it as a sexual type of massage that goes on behind closed doors, while this can be true in some of the unethical massage business’s, and while massage in itself can be sensual, a full body massage, from a professional, and certified massage therapist such as myself, has nothing to do with sex.
Blue PacificMassage and Body Works is a licensed, professional, and qualified massage therapy business.

What a professional full body massage involves is the massaging of the entire body with pressing, stroking, and kneading techniques. Blue Pacific Massage & Body Works Full Body Massageincludes the upper and lower back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, legs, and feet on both the front and back of the body. This Full Body Massage is a Swedish Massage combined with Deep Tissue (if needed) Shiatsu, Reflexology, Trigger Points and a few mild Stretching Techniques. This refreshing full body massage relieves stress and tension aches for pure relaxation. There are many different methods, and techniques used, depending on each client's needs. No two clients are the same therefore I treat each client according to their individual needs, issues, aches, and discomforts.

A full body massage more often than not uses a variety of massage techniques and methods, often combining them as opposed to one specific type. As an example, Swedish massage uses five styles of long flowing strokes. The five basic strokes are effleurage (sliding or gliding), petrissage (kneading), tapotement (rhythmic tapping), friction (cross fiber) and vibration/shaking. Swedish massage refers to techniques designed to relax muscles by applying pressure to them against deeper muscles and bones, and rubbing in the same direction as the flow of blood returning to the heart. Whereas a full body massage could use some of the Swedish massage in conjunction with other methods and techniques.

Some important factors associated with a professional therapeutic massage include:

· Massage is more often done on a professional massage table although some techniques use specific kinds of floor mats or a professional massage chair.

· Massage lotions, massage oils or massage gels are applied to help reduce friction on the skin.

· Soft music is usually played to help produce a calming and relaxing environment.

It is also important to remember, this massage can take awhile, usually Blue Pacific Massage & Body Works Full Body Massage will take from 80 to 90 minutes, also offered is a 2 hour full body massage which is very beneficial as it gives your body more time to stay in a relaxed atmosphere which plays an important part in the bodies healing process. You need to allow yourself and me the time to work on you properly, and professionally to ensure you are getting the maximum benefit.
